Artist’ description of the workshop;
“I can offer a performance workshop similar to what I have done at Michigan State University which focuses on working with women of color on campus (staff, students, and faculty). We look at how tension and trauma gets held in the body due to systemic and institutional oppression, and then we create methods for release through performance art. I am actually touring this workshop to colleges and photographing participants to be included in future collage work. Female identifying student and faculty of color organizations on campus are invited to participate, and sometimes help organize the event.”
