Food for the Ancestors explores the fabulous festival, Days of the Dead, as it is done in the culturally rich state of Puebla. The program focuses on the special foods that are made for the holiday, celebration rituals, skull artwork, and cazuela makers. It also gives viewers a look into the climax of the festival on November 1st when family members decorate the gravesites and spend the entire night waiting for ancestors to return. (60 mins.)
