The Muskegon Museum of Art Friends of Art will present this fall lecture series as a prelude to the MMA’s Expressions of Faith, a major winter exhibition that will open December 8, 2016. Lectures will take place in the MMA auditorium at 7:00 pm, with doors opening at 6:30 pm. Registration form and informational brochure are available at the MMA Gift Store. Fred Stella/Hindu Art: Iconography, Not Idolatry
Fred Stella serves as Pracharak (Outreach Minister) for the West Michigan Hindu Temple. He lectures extensively across the country and internationally on matters of faith and practice. He is a member of the National Leadership Council of the Hindu American Foundation in Washington, D.C. and is the President of the Interfaith Dialogue Association. In this role he is active in conference planning, education, and hosting IDA’s program, Common Threads, which airs on local NPR affiliates WGVU & WGVS (Muskegon).
