Disenchanted! @ Beardsley Theater at the Frauenthal Center

Poisoned apples. Glass slippers. Who needs ’em?! Not Snow White and her posse of disenchanted princesses in the hilarious hit musical that is anything but Grimm. Forget the princesses you think you know. When these royal renegades toss off their tiaras, this hilariously subversive, not-for-the-kiddies musical cleverly reveals what really happened ‘ever after’!

ANIMAL FARM, the Play @ Overbrook Theater at Muskegon Community College
Oct 24 @ 7:30 pm
ANIMAL FARM, the Play @ Overbrook Theater at Muskegon Community College

A farm is taken over by its overworked, mistreated animals. The animals set out to create a paradise of progress, justice, and equality. One of the most telling satiric fables ever penned – a razor-edged fairy tale for grown-ups that record the evolution from revolution against tyranny to a totalitarianism just as terrible. George Orwell’s masterpiece has a meaning and message still ferociously fresh.
